Our client, Plazmax are expanding internationally and have a bright future. Located in Rotorua, they are designers and manufacturers of automated profile cutting systems, providing solutions to engineering and manufacturing industries. They are on the lookout for a Plasma Cutter Operator based at their Rotorua manufacturing premises to join their busy, innovative team.

This is a permanent full-time role, with typical working hours between 7.30 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday. Exact hours and start and finish times can be negotiated with a minimum 40 hours and a maximum of 45 hours per week. The hourly rate remains the same. The remuneration offered, ranges between $27.00 and $30.00 per hour depending on skill set and experience.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Process steel plate using Plazmax's CNC plasma cutting system
- Manage Plazmax's steel plate inventory
- Load and unload steel plate onto the machine using a forklift

**Whilst there are no formal qualifications required to do the role, the successful applicant will**:

- Have a good work ethic, eye for detail and be a quick learner
- Be customer focused, possess good people skills and a flexible work attitude.
- Be a mechanical thinker, tidy and organised.
- Possess good computer skills and general software knowledge.
- Be physically fit and able to lift and heavy objects.
- Be able to communicate well in English.
- Experience with computer nesting software would be desirable, but not essential.
- Knowledge of Hypertherm hardware and software products would be helpful, but not essential.
- Experience as a CNC Plasma Cutter Operator would be helpful, but not necessary as full training would be provided.
