**About Foodstuffs Own Brands**

Have you heard of Pams, the most popular grocery brand in the land? That’s us Our products provide customers with choices when they shop at any New World, PAK’nSAVE or Four Square store.

Foodstuffs Own Brands is a national organisation responsible for managing own brand products across both Foodstuffs North Island and Foodstuffs South Island regions. We’re passionate about developing customer-led products for every New Zealander and develop and procure Foodstuffs’ private label offering under its brands Pams, Pams Value and Pams Finest.

**About the role**

As the **Product Development Support**, you’ll play a key role in working alongside passionate foodies who are committed to building one of Aotearoa New Zealand’s most popular grocery brands.

To be successful in this role, you’ll:

- Be the go-to support for the product development team as they create a variety of products.
- Coordinate market reviews, including product benchmarking and evaluating product submissions from suppliers.
- Assist with shopping requirements to support reviews or evaluations when needed.
- Organise sensory evaluations and assessments, including booking sessions, receiving and storing samples, setting up evaluations, packing out, and, of course, participating
- Maintain excellent kitchen/lab practices, including weighing, measuring, cooking, and cutting samples.

**About you**

You’ll have a keen interest in all things food, paired with a high attention to detail. Ideally, you’ve worked in a similar type of role or have hands-on experience in a commercial kitchen or a similar setting.

You’ll also:

- Be a pro at preparing multiple samples simultaneously.
- Thrive in maintaining a clean, orderly environment.
- Be a creative and passionate foodie who loves discussing all things food and takes pride in presentation.
- Possess a strong understanding of ingredient functionality and can articulate food attributes like taste, smell, and texture.
- Be self-motivated and proactive in exploring process efficiencies.
- Excel at project management, effortlessly juggling multiple tasks at once.
- Provide support to product development team in assigned projects in a timely manner.
- Want to learn and grow in areas of product development with a high performing team.
