We are looking for a Release Manager to manage software releases within a significant transformation programme following acquisition.
The programme involves the delivery of multiple new features and enhancements to a core insurance platform, impacting numerous functions and teams across the business, as well as migration of several policy administration systems (PAS) and new billings/payments and correspondence systems.
The Release Manager will work closely with the programme managers, platform delivery lead, test manager and key business stakeholders to plan and manage releases while ensuring that BAU activities are not interrupted.
This is a complex programme of work and will require a release manager with extensive experience in a corporate environment.

Key responsibilities
- Build the detailed cut over release/plan across all workstreams and releases, in consultation with key technology stakeholders, ensuring a feasible cadence, deconfliction with BAU activities and considering capacity.
- Managing the release process and working with the Squads and delivery leads.
- Facilitate sign off pre and post migration to production, including ensuring the acceptance criteria are clearly understood.
- Identify, understanding and manage risks, including preparation of roll back plans and risk indicators.
- Co-ordinating and monitoring key activities.
- Co-ordinating releases with the acquisition business (Data Exchange, DAT, PAS, TSAs)
- Ensure technology and services teams are across the plan and can support it.
- Track project progress and dependencies to highlight and manage any knock-on effects on the release plan. Deliverables
- Establish release processes.
- A detailed release and risk management plan for all implementations and iterations.
- Acceptance criteria for all releases. Key interfaces
- Digital and Programme workstream leads and project managers, Technical teams (particularly the Platforms Team)
- Transition management stakeholders

Key skills and experience
- Must demonstrate significant experience with release management in a complex programme of work.
- Experience gained within Finance or Insurance sectors particularly advantageous.
- Experience will be in roles of duration greater than 6 months and probably 12 and showing retention on projects and programmes of scale and complexity.
