You will manage Oranga Tamariki's property lease portfolios and contribute to the commercial and contractual success of Oranga Tamariki's leased contracts.

Mō te tūnga | About the role
Reporting to the Infrastructure Strategy and Engagment Manager, the Lease Specialist will be responsible for managing Oranga Tamariki's property lease portfolio with a focus on the leasing of commercial spaces, providing strong relationship management and contribution to the commercial and contractual success of Oranga Tamariki's leased contracts. The role will partner with the Property and Facilities Management team and other Ministry business units including Service delivery, Legal and Finance to ensure that these functions are represented in the development and management of Lease Agreements.
You will also work alongside an exceptional, supportive & knowledgeable team with opportunities for regular training.

**Key requirements of the role include**:

- Willingness to travel within New Zealand to fulfil the requirements of the role
- A clean, current driver's licence is essential and a willingness to drive the Ministry's vehicles.
- Demonstrated commercial knowledge of developing and managing Property Leases
- Excellent relationship management skills - able to establish, build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of an organisation
- Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture
