**About us**
At Hotel Indigo, we welcome all guests into our neighbourhood and share our love for the place we call home. We inspire them to explore and discover different perspectives, so every one of them can create new stories of their own. With over 125 properties worldwide, we look for individuals that can inspire our guests to make unique discoveries. Opening the door to meaningful connections to the diverse people, places, and cultures of the local area.
Later this year, Auckland will welcome New Zealand’s first Hotel Indigo to the neighbourhood. The “City of Sails” will set the backdrop for this boutique upper-upscale hotel, drawing inspiration from local artists for its design, service, amenities, food and beverage. The 225-room hotel will be part of a mixed-use development in Auckland Central, with stunning views of the city and Auckland’s iconic harbour. The new build development will be among Auckland’s tallest buildings, maintaining the façade of the original historic building with a new world-class hotel blended elegantly around it.
We create moments of delight inside Hotel Indigo. It’s why we’re on the lookout for an amazing Reservations Manager (pre-opening) to help bring Hotel Indigo Auckland to life. This role will set up and lead the reservations team to ensure a memorable guest experience is delivered, departmental revenue and profit goals are met, and hotel policies and procedures established, always following local safety and compliance requirements.
**A little taste of your day**
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

- Participating in hotel marketing and promotional activities as required to generate brand awareness and bookings, including pre-opening events, collaborating with the hotel’s Commercial Lead.
- Interacting with internal and external stakeholders:
- Guests, visitors - to ensure their total satisfaction
- Other contacts as needed (other hotels, travel and tour representatives, professional organisations, community groups).
- Monitoring group reservation activity daily and communicate status with sales department. Follow up on tentative sales bookings with respective sales staff to update status. Communicate fluctuations in room occupancy to operations so that appropriate staffing adjustments and efficiencies are maintained.
- Assisting in managing hotel revenue generation and maximization through full utilization of company systems, business processes and specifications.
**What we need from you?**
- Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Hotel Management or Business Administration; OR
- At least one year of experience in reservations/front office.
- Comprehensive understanding of hotel systems and revenue management principles.
- Strategic and tactical thinking - the ability to develop strategic plans, establish goals and objectives, set performance targets, and deliver projects on time.
