AdBlue®/DEF reduces the amount of harmful pollutants released into the atmosphere by diesel engines. The demand for the product continues to grow as more diesel systems convert to its use.

**Your role**

Join us in this critical role based at our small but dedicated local team in Mount Maunganui, with operational responsibility across out Mount Manganui and Hornby sites. Our SCR Solutions division is a market leader in the production and distribution of AdBlue and enjoys stability and year on year growth in New Zealand and Australia.

The primary focus of our Operations Manager is the management of the SCR Mt Maunganui and Hornby sites to efficiently manufacture product as required by the business, while meeting SH&E obligations, budget constraints, outstanding customer satisfaction and continual improvement in the quality of the operations and its people.

**Your responsibilities**
- Promote a strong HSE culture and ensure the safety of employees, suppliers, contractors and customers
- Manage all operational aspects of the plants ensuring the safe, reliable operation of the manufacturing facilities to meet customer demand
- Work closely with the Transport and Distribution Manager, ensuring reliable bulk supply to our retail and private customer from our SCR and partner sites
- Effectively plan production and efficiently manage the production in line with customer specifications
- Schedule preventative maintenance and plan plant upgrades
- Accountability for maintaining customer, statutory and company compliance in safety, occupational health and environment within all operational areas of our SCR Mt Maunganui and Hornby Plants
- Lead investigations into incidents, ensure implementation and evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions
- Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department
- Bring a continuous improvement mindset to identify opportunities for production, quality and efficiency gains
- Motivate and coach the team to operational success, developing an innovative, vibrant, supportive and collaborative team culture

**Your skills & experience**
- A strong focus on HSE, with a safety first approach to all tasks, every day
- Proven manufacturing experience, ideally in a liquid process or fuel environment
- An understanding of supply chain management principles
- Previous production experience related to PLC automation and preventative maintenance
- Previous people leadership experience, with a collaborative and supportive leadership style
- A strong focus on continuous improvement
- A proven track record in managing procedural and compliance requirements
- Solid financial literacy
- Solid general computer and MS Office skills
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a small team
