**About the role**
To support the delivery on our organisational goals, the Capability Group is responsible for enabling Police’s frontline by ensuring it remains fit for purpose in a changing and dynamic environment through continuously improving our operational capability.
The purpose of leadership in this role is to enable and deliver Our Business through coordinated national services.

As the Coordinator: National Armoury Services and Tactical Equipment you will lead a passionate team of specialists to provide specialist service delivery and advice on operational policy, planning and procedure. The Armoury provides specialist advice about New Zealand and international safety standards for new and existing tactical equipment, and monitors adherence to standards. The Co-ordinator will develop and lead work prioritisation and planning for the team, and the distribution and delivery of work across the fleet of tactical equipment, and forensic firearm services.
A strong interest in the management of tactical equipment and delivery of forensic firearm services is desired, however no specialist experience or qualification is required. This is a People Leadership position.
This role will offer a leader the opportunity to develop, establish and continuously deliver police high performance outcomes in the National Armoury team as a priority.

**Key Accountabilities**:
- Lead the quality assurance, evaluation, advancement, and upgrade of the operational and armoury capability.
- Provide risk management advice and reporting on equipment management issues.
- Lead the changes, review and maintenance to policies, procedures, and practices nationally with districts, service organisations and other user groups.
- Prioritisation and development of work systems, performance measures and delivery that ensure an efficient and effective service provision.
- Lead the processes and practices that comply with a safe working environment.
- Develop and lead the culture and behaviours that delivers services that New Zealanders expect and deserve.
