Your role will involve working as a trusted advisor assisting multiple Council customers with ICT systems support, project delivery and implementation. It has a particular focus on cloud technologies and the Microsoft Modern Workplace in line with our Cloud First strategy.

You will take on a technology leadership role, reviewing our evolving requirements, helping to transition our IAAS environment; liaising with our infrastructure and managed service partners; continually improving the environment; contributing to roadmaps and partnering with our customers to achieve their business outcomes.

Having excellent consulting and communication skills, you will enjoy working with people, building relationships, solving problems and mentoring team members.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- In depth knowledge of cloud infrastructure and platforms and experience establishing a modern Infrastructure as a Service approach for a large organization
- Demonstrated success with cloud technologies in a service delivery or senior systems engineer capacity, ideally in an MSP or large complex environment (circa 5+ years)
- Extensive IT technical experience and knowledge of Microsoft core server technologies such as AD, Azure and AAD; Exchange Online; The Modern Workplace; Microsoft 365
- Security technologies & principles
