Food Packer

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated fast learners to work in our commercial wholesale bakery. Your main duties will be slicing, packing and labelling bread to send out to our shop, supermarkets, cafes and eateries. We are situated in Hamilton - one of the most stunning environments on earth

Steamuu is a long-established wholesale bakery in the heart of Hamilton, renowned for our exceptional range of traditional European breads and bread products. With another busy summer season upon us, we are looking to expand our team and are offering several exciting opportunities for those willing to be part of our packing team.

**What We Offer**:

- Full-time seasonal position with minimum of 32 hours per week.
- Competitive pay rate ranging from $27 to $30 per hour, depending on experience.
- Shift times may vary starting between 10am and 2pm and finishing between 6pm and 10pm (approximately)

**Key Responsibilities**:
The type of duties would include:

- Slicing, packaging and labelling bread
- Packing a large variety of bread into crates and boxes
- Prepare boxes and labels accurately
- Operate machinery in accordance with safety standards
- Keeping the workstation clean and tidy.
- Cleaning of equipment, work benches and floors
- Deep cleaning on an ongoing basis
- Strictly follow our hygiene regulations and understand HACCAP in accordance with the European Bakery Food Plan and Food Safety act
- Are an NZ citizen, resident or have a valid NZ work visa
- Payrate from $27 - $30 an hour, depending on experience.

Must haves: Be a NZ citizen or have a valid NZ work visa, be currently in Hamilton, fit and able to stand for long periods of time, a good understanding and be able to communicate in English.
