**ABOUT THE ROLE**

As a Checkout Operator, you’ll be the face of our store—helping customers at the checkout with a friendly smile, great service, and efficient transactions. Every interaction is an opportunity to brighten someone’s day.

Responsibilities include:

- Processing customer orders quickly and efficiently through the checkout with a friendly, personable manner.
- Assist customers as and when required with any queries they may have
- Processing lotto transactions and closing of the lotto desk
- Ensure speedy resolution of price enquiry and other queries.
- Ensuring appropriate escalation of price scanning to correct any errors in a timely manner.
- Ensure the checkout area is kept clean and tidy.

**Role 1**:full time, 32 hours per week.
Monday 10am - 6:30pm
Tuesday 11am - 7:30pm
Friday & Saturday 10:45am - 7:15pm

**Role 2**:full time, 30.5 hours per week.
Monday 9am - 5:30pm
Tuesday 10am - 6:30pm
Friday 10am - 5pm
Saturday 9:30am - 6pm

**Role 3**:part time, 24 hours per week
Wednesday 3pm - 8:30pm
Thursday 4pm - 9pm
Friday 2pm - 9pm
Sunday 12:30pm - 9pm

**ABOUT YOU**

We’re looking for people with energy, enthusiasm, and a great attitude—someone who takes pride in their work and genuinely enjoys helping others and our community. The role can be physically demanding, lifting heavy items and standing for long periods. You must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand & be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.

**You’ll bring**:

- A friendly, approachable nature and strong communication skills
- The ability to multitask, stay calm under pressure, and work efficiently
- High personal presentation standards and a strong work ethic
- Some retail or customer service experience (preferred but not essential)
- Physical fitness to handle lifting and being on your feet for long periods
- Availability to work at least one weekend day, every week
