**Position: Hotel Manager**

**Work Location and Vacancy details**

Wellington/Kapiti Coast Region

Permanent Positions, Full-time (guaranteed 30 hours/per week, from Monday to Sunday)

Number of Vacancies: 1 person

**Tasks & responsibilities**

Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the Hotel including Bar, Tab and gaming. Develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies

Promote guest satisfaction in an effort to obtain repeat business

Manage all guest complaints and ensure required parties take corrective action

Respond to all Guest Feedback

Plan and formulate and implement operational budgets and oversee financial management for the bar.

Purchase and order stock and daily supplies according to the budget and ensure proper record keeping supplies and stock. Accurately invoiced when stock comes and manage financial transactions properly

Complete till reconciliations and banking for every shift

Manage and maintain staff rosters, prepare and confirm staff timesheets for payroll and PAYE

Managing the functions of all hotel employees, facilities, sales, and costs including tradesman to ensure maximum efficiency. Supervise staff performance and provide training

Be in charge of recruitment and hiring new staff members according to business needs

Ensure all equipment and work environment is operational.

Ensure that excellent standards of customer service are upheld and address all customer complaints.

Ensure that all areas where food or drink is served are maintained and health and safety regulations are followed.

Ensure that all work areas are always clean, hygienic, and tidy.

Ensure all the staff is following applicable laws and regulations.

Regularly evaluate all the hotel systems to optimize customer satisfactions.

Ensure maximum security in all areas.

Good eye for detail and an ability to learn fast
