We are looking for a full-time Restaurant Manager for our busy restaurant in Timaru.

**Responsibilities**:

- Planning, managing and controlling the operations of the restaurant.
- Working closely with Chefs to plan menu and to introduce new items.
- Controlling the purchasing and setting prices of the menu items.
- Ensuring stock levels
- Keeping a record of financial transactions and handling cash.
- Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations.
- Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction.
- Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints.
- Regularly review product quality and research new vendors
- Organize and supervise shifts.
- Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity.
- Estimate future needs for goods required.
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
- Manage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it.
- Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste.
- Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses.
- Promote the brand in the local community through different mediums.
- Recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g., discounts and social media ads)
- Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
- Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations.
- Hiring and training staff.

**Hours**: Minimum 30 hours per week

**Requirements**:

- Good communication skills
- Leadership skills
- Highly organised
- Must be able work on evenings and weekend

**Salary**: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekend availability
