Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
Are you ready to embark on an exciting and challenging role?
We are looking for nurses who are seeking expanded practice on their horizon and who have started their post graduate journey. You will be working as a member of the Acute Pain Service in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
As the Pain Nurse Specialist you will be mainly working in the Acute Adult Pain service alongside some shifts in the Women's Health service.
This is a part time position working 0.6 FTE, Monday to Sunday.
This service provides effective pain management for all medical/surgical, and woman's health specialties and involves clinical assessment, management of patients with acute pain on advanced pain modalities, case management, teaching and quality assurance. Our aim is to facilitate effective pain management based on the best available evidence. Both areas require working weekends and public holidays.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
You may be a senior nurse with relevant clinical experience and have Postgraduate certificate / diploma in specialty nursing practice. You will have knowledge within surgical nursing and are keen to develop your career specialising in acute and persistent pain management for adult patients.
