**About the role**
The Information, Research and Analytics team sits within the broader Strategy, Governance, Risk and Assurance group and is strongly connected with the newly created regulatory Intelligence Team. It is responsible for a broad range of information, research and data-analysis functions and services that are crucial to the strategic objectives of the Civil Aviation Authority.
This role will play a vital part in enabling the team to be the channel through which information flows into the organisation, information sharing relationships with key external parties and agencies, dataset management, and providing key information, data analysis and research services to the wider Authority.
**What we’re looking for**
We’re looking for a driven, intellectually curious person to add value to the information and data we receive. You might be a graduate with strong experience in information collection, data entry and data management skills or interested in expanding your experience of data and information stewardship in the regulatory space.
You will have:
- Experience in exercising stewardship over data and information collection, collation, entry, management, integrity, and dissemination.
- Experience engaging with a range of stakeholders.
- A drive for excellence and accuracy.
- Ability to use critical thinking and intellectual curiosity.
- Knowledge of, or willingness to learn about, legislative requirements relating to information that come from the Civil Aviation Act, the Health and Safety at Work Act, the Privacy Act, and the Official Information Act.
- Knowledge of, or willingness to learn about, New Zealand’s aviation sector.

The Civil Aviation Authority National Office is usually located in modern offices opposite the Wellington railway station. As a result of remedial earthquake strengthening work that needs to take place, our National office staff are currently working remotely and in temporary offices in central Wellington.
