Team Global Express NZ delivers freight forwarding, end-to-end transport services, and comprehensive logistics solutions to customers operating in New Zealand scaling from Kaitaia to Invercargill.

We have an exciting opportunity for a n Operations Supervisor / Dispatcher to join our New Plymouth team. This role will be responsible for leading all operations staff to achieve quality service standards and safe work practices. You will also manage our trucking resources effectively to transport customer freight as required in full on time at an acceptable cost to the company.

**What **you'll **do**
- E nsure that a s uperior s ervice is provided to both internal and external customers.
- A ccurate management reporting and a high level of financial results are achieved about utili s ation of all appropriate resources.
- W ork with all the transport staff to maximize the performance of the business in order to meet and exceed the customer’s and company’s expectations.
- A ssist the Branch Manager with transport and operations business administration.
- Dispatching cover.
- O perate the forklifts loading and unloading the trucks.
- Assist with deliveries and d riving the class 1 vehicles.
- U nloading line haul units, sorting, checking off freight including parcels

**What **you'll **need**
- Excellent communicative and organisational skills
- Knowledge of Transport/Logistics, Marketing and Sales
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Freight operations
- Degree/NZCE or other tertiary qualification
- Computer and Microsoft Office Skills (Intermediate)
- Clean Class 1 NZ Drivers Licence essential
