In this role, you will provide administrative and secretarial support to Family Court Associates and / or District Court Judges. You will be responsible for facilitating effective liaison and communication within the PA judicial support team, handling confidential and sensitive matters, enhancing the Judiciary's capacity to fulfil their judicial duties efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide comprehensive administrative support to Family Court Associates, including managing their calendars, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings/events.
- Organise and maintain electronic and physical files, ensuring that information is accurately documented and easily accessible.
- Handle matters of a highly confidential and sensitive nature with the utmost discretion and maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
- Coordinate support services for visiting Judiciary along with reception tasks/duties.
- Assist judges during court proceedings, including managing case files / documentation, and ensuring all necessary materials are readily available.
- Assist with ad-hoc support tasks such as stationery orders, word processing / photocopying / scanning and arranging travel logistics.
- Attention to detail when typing/proofreading Reserve Judgements or other documents.
- Act as a liaison between the Judiciary, legal professionals, court staff and other relevant stakeholders.

**Ō** pūkenga/Skills and Experience**
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant, personal assistant, or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with legal terminology and court procedures is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using office software and tools, including MS Office Suite and document management systems.
- Minimum word processing speed of seventy words per minute.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail and attentive listening.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work independently or as part of a team.

Experience in a legal or court environment is an advantage.

Judges' Personal Assistants report to the Ministry of Justice while taking day to day direction from the Judiciary. Each PA supports approximately 4 District Court Judges and or Family Court Associates. As the primary point of contact for the Judges / Family Court Associates and Chambers, you will serve as the frontline representative, ensuring that all interactions reflect our commitment to professionalism and assisting all parties involved.

**Utu ā-tau/**Salary**

The remuneration band for this role is $58,729 to $80,794, the appointing salary will likely be between $66,173 to $68,654.
