We are currently looking for two Butcher Assistantfor our busy Store Wellington Halal Meat located in Wellington. Reliability and right attitude are key to succeeding in this role. You should be hard working, energetic, self-motivated and willing to go the extra mile to achieve results for our customers.

Number of position for this job: 2

Employment Type: Permanent Full Time

Minimum guaranteed hours of work per week: 30 Hours

Days required: Monday to Saturday (Rotating hours)

Pay Rate: $29.70 per hour

**Your duties will include but not limited to**:

- Assist the butcher in the meat preparation tasks including trimming, mincing, grinding, mixing, marinating, seasoning etc.
- To ensure that all Lexans are clean and stored correctly
- Ensure that the preparation rooms are properly secure at all times
- Rotate and check dated stock to ensure within use by date
- As directed display meat cuts in our counter displays to make them look attractive and catch the shoppers eye
- Replenishment of the meat and seafood room - including making sure all gaps are filled before you leave and left clean and tidy.
- Ensuring the department is merchandised to the desired standards as well as ensuring all customers are served appropriately and their enquiries are dealt with in a timely fashion
- Must be above 18 years of age
- Positive and right attitude
- Time management skills and ability to work under pressure
- Work in team environment and able to follow instructions
- Physically fit and hardworking (some heavy lifting is required)
- Weekend and Public Holiday availability
- No Criminal Record
