Ventia has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and qualified Technician to join their Electricity and Gas team based in Rotorua.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

This role will be working within our Maintenance Division, primarily responsible for working as part of a team that installs, maintains and repairs High Voltage Power Station.

Other responsibilities include: Testing, Programming, Reporting, Fault diagnostics, completing planned maintenance works, installing HV and substation equipment and be part of other ad hoc project works

There is an expectation to travel within the region that we cover (predominantly in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty but sometimes in the South Island as well). This will suit anyone that is keen to travel and explore New Zealand while expanding their skills and experience in the Power industry.

**Other Details**
- Competitive pay at $50 to $65/hr
- Permanent, full-time role at a minimum 40 hours a week
- Living away from home allowance, accommodation, as well as overtime and travel time are covered.

**ABOUT YOU**

You could come from any sector where there is High voltage work but Generation, Distribution, or Transmission experience are an advantage.
