Contribute to the provision of effective care for prisoners/service users at Auckland South Corrections Facility

**About the Role**

In this role you will provide direct patient care to male prisoners, with the support of registered nurses and your wider Health team. Care includes but is not limited to medication administration, observation, assessment (eg. Taking height, weight, blood glucose, etc.), supporting patient activities, identifying at-risk prisoners, health promotion, and more. This is an exciting role that would suit a positive, confident and professional person, who knows how to be a team player.

**About You**

Your organisational skills and ability to prioritise and delegate will also be exceptional. You will have an understanding of different cultural, religious and ethnic needs, the Treaty of Waitangi principles and its related contemporary issues.

The position requires a minimum Health Care Assistant NZQA Level 3 qualification, or equivalent, and at least 1 year experience in acute/emergency health care setting.

- Strong computer skills (eg. proficient in Microsoft suite).

- The ability to work under pressure.
- A commitment to trust, confidentiality and excellent customer-service.

**About Auckland South Correctional Facility**

Serco opened Kohuora ASCF in Wiri, South Auckland in 2015, extending its portfolio in Asia Pacific. It is a state of the art facility, operated on behalf of the NZ Department of Corrections. We provide a safe and secure environment for over 900 male prisoners, with a strategic focus on better outcomes for Māori.
