**Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role**

We are currently seeking a pharmacy technician to help support our motivated team in the Distribution area of our Pharmacy at Wellington Hospital. This position will involve working in our distribution team providing advanced level support to the distribution and Pyxis services, you would work alongside Pharmacy Technicians and Assistants to ensure medication delivery to the ward is efficient and accurate. You would support the senior distribution technician to review stock management processes in both Pharmacy and the ward, ensure processes are followed and implement process changes if necessary.

You would also work alongside the senior Pyxis technicians to ensure the Pyxis machines are running optimally and be able to provide solutions when required.

The pharmacy team is well respected by clinicians, nursing staff, and senior management across the organisation, and is constantly looking at ways to improve the service and care it delivers. We provide a comprehensive pharmacy service throughout to the Capital Coast and Hutt Valley District, which includes a clinical service, dispensary & logistics service, and a quality & risk service. There is also an aseptic production service at Capital & Coast Hospitals (Wellington & Kenepuru). Through these services, we aim to improve the quality and effectiveness of prescribing, supply and distribution of medicines throughout the Capital Coast and Hutt Valley District. Our teams value professional growth, and emphasizes clinical development and medicines optimization for our patients.
