Designer - Electrical

In your role of Designer - Electrical you will be hands on contributing to the development of plans, managing, and ensuring the delivery of projects (or components of), resources, budgets and timelines. You will be responsible for the preparation and presentation of proposals to clients and developing and enhancing relationships with clients.
Day to day you will
+ Undertake design tasks on specific portions of a broader engineering assignments, delivering suitable technical solutions aligned to desired results and deadlines
+ Prepare sketches or concepts using drafting software (e.g. AutoCAD) to
+ Develop 3D modelling skills for substation and transmission line designs
+ Engage with the wider project team across multiple disciplines to determine the right solution
+ Ensure that project delivery systems are in place for effective delivery and providing technical services in accordance with project time, quality and cost objectives as agreed with Project Managers.
+ Help grow the practice through developing existing client relationships, maintaining and developing future business through outstanding project delivery
+ Assist with preparing proposals where required
+ Technical delivery of project work, initiating review and verification procedures as appropriate.
+ Provide technical assistance and support to other teams
Minimum Requirements
+ Concept and detailed design in AutoCAD for power sector projects
+ Demonstrated skills in managing projects (or components of) and budgets to meet time and resource requirements
+ Demonstrated commercial acumen and the ability to develop relationships
+ Competent in concept and detailed design in AutoCAD for power sector projects
+ Knowledge of the market for consulting services
Preferred Qualifications
+ Appropriate tertiary qualification
+ 2+ years’ experience
