At Black Rabbit Pizza, we deliver exceptional service and memorable dining experiences. Our diverse menu includes breakfast, light lunches, and dinner, with the "Wild Meat" pizza being a local favourite. Located in Kaikōura, known for its marine life and surf spots, we are open daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. As a Front of House/Food & Beverage Attendant, you will ensure guests feel welcomed and valued.

**Position Details**:

- **Guaranteed Hours**: Minimum of 30 hours per week, with the potential to work up to 45 hours during peak season. Our restaurant operates seven days a week, so availability on weekends and public holidays is essential.
- **Pay Range**: $24 to $26

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Greet and seat customers with a warm welcome, providing menus and water.
- Present beverage lists and offer drink options while customers review the menu.
- Accurately take customer orders and relay them to kitchen and bar staff.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally.
- Open bottles and pour beverages as required.
- Clear tables and return dishes, cutlery, and used glassware to the kitchen.
- Refill or replace glasses and remove empty bottles or glasses from tables.
- Operate the point-of-sale system, process payments, and handle cash transactions.
- Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area, cleaning as you go.
- Restock the food cabinet, Coke fridge, and monitor inventory levels.
- Assist with baking tasks, including bread and pastries, in coordination with Lisa.
- Answer phone calls, handle orders, and manage bookings as needed.
- Check deliveries against invoices and store items appropriately.
- At the end of your shift, count the till, prepare the float, and ensure the area is tidy and ready for the next shift.

**Skills Required**:

- At least 1 year of relevant hospitality experience.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week

Schedule:

- Rotating roster

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Kaikoura District, Canterbury: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
