The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) has an exciting opportunity for an innovative Advisor Data and Information to join our Information Management team in the Data, Strategy and Knowledge Branch.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about information management, knowledge or records management, keen to get involved in challenging initiatives, and wants to work across a large, varied organisation. Your work week will be varied but rewarding and fast paced.

**As an Advisor in the Information Management team**:

- You will grow your career in a nimble and close-knit environment reporting to the Manager Information Management.
- You will contribute to initiatives to solve MBIE knowledge challenges, champion good practice in the management of information and support our staff to strengthen their information capability.
- You will also have a commitment to innovation and continuous improvement and generating new ideas and ways of doing things.

**We are keen to hear from you if you have**:

- Information management or records management experience.
- Strong writing, editing and communication skills at all levels.
- Great problem-solving skills and able to work quickly and accurately.
- Experience providing advice to a wide range of stakeholders.
- Ideally with experience of a similar role within central government.
- Experience and knowledge of working with Privacy Act 2020, Official Information Act 1982, and Public records Act 2005.
