**About the Role**

We have an opportunity available for a Programme Lead to join our Quota Refugee Resettlement Service, based in Levin. This is a permanent, full-time role.

The role of the Programme Lead is to enable health support to improve the health status of Quota Refugees settling in Levin, in alignment with goal three of the New Zealand Refugee Resettlement Strategy: “Health and Wellbeing: Refugees and their families enjoy health, safe and independent lives”. In this role you will support Quota Refugees to achieve optimal health outcomes by reducing disparities, improving health literacy, enabling access to services, and ensuring Quota Refugees receive quality, easy to access and coordinated care across the sector.

**About the Team/Service/ Location**

The National Public Health Service (NPHS) within Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures) for all by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention. We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.

**About you**

You will have excellent leadership, service development, programme and financial management skills and the demonstrated ability to create and maintain highly effective collaborative relationships and networks, working alongside communities and wider stakeholders. You will be being highly adaptive and responsive, with strong system and design thinking, able to guide and support others to plan, co-design, implement, monitor, and evaluate programmes/initiatives/projects - with an eye for innovation and continuous improvement opportunities. You will also have excellent communication, promotional, negotiating and advocacy skills.
- Tertiary qualification in any health science, social work or business management, programme management or related discipline
- Minimum of 3 years' experience and strong expertise in programme management/leadership
- Proven project management and financial management experience and expertise
- Experience and/or understanding of how to support consumers presenting with complex health issues
- An understanding of the wider determinants of health
- Knowledge and experience in the health sector
- Established networks within the Levin community
- Fluency in Spanish is an advantage
