Position overview
We are seeking General and/or Clinical Scope psychologists to work within our existing team at the Psychology Clinic at Massey University, Manawatū.
We provide clinical and health psychology services from a range of referral and funding sources.
We are looking to appoint up to 9.3 FTE, Professional/Senior Professional Clinicians to work across a mix model of both external provider contracts and private clinic services. These are full-time, permanent, ongoing positions (37.5 hours per week, 1.0 FTE); however, we are open to considering a minimum of 0.6 FTE (22.5 hours per week).

The Clinic is a business unit of Massey University and provides psychology services to the community; supervision and consultation services to external agencies/professionals; and training and research opportunities for post-graduate students. As the largest university-based clinic in New Zealand, we offer an exciting and dynamic environment with an opportunity to practice a broad range of therapy and assessment skills.
**The Clinic has two main services**: the Health and Cancer Psychology Service (HCPS) and the General Clinic Psychology Service (GC). The HCPS holds a variety of contracts with Te Whatu Ora (Health New Zealand) and provides support for patients with life-long and/or life-limiting health conditions. The General Clinic provides clinical psychology services for self-funding clients and clients referred by a range of external organisations (i.e., NZDF, THINK Hauora, FENZ).
As a training centre for the School of Psychology, post-graduate students will observe and sometimes participate in assessment and therapy activities.

The Clinic aims to provide clinical and health psychology services to assist clients in improving wellbeing, quality of life, enhancing coping, and reducing distress through the provision of assessment and interventions tailored to client needs.
- You will be required to work across all Clinic services (contracts work and private) and meet specified work targets
- You will contribute to intern and practicum student supervision.
- You will have opportunity to be involved in the development and provision of services to the wider community, such as the delivery of presentations, workshops, group interventions and educational services
