Health is a 24/7 business and Canterbury Health Laboratories (CHL) is no exception We - re on the lookout for a NZ Registered Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our Biochemistry Laboratory.

This role requires you to work from 16:00 to 00:00, 3 shifts on, 6 shifts off.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

- Providing diagnostic and specialist testing to a high standard according to protocol
- The effective and efficient use of laboratory information systems to register patients, input data, and access results
- Carrying out troubleshooting of tests and equipment, complying with service/laboratory methods
- The maintenance and development of your own professional development
- Providing a high-quality service to clients

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience**

Your skills will include:

- Self-motivation and discipline to work independently and a demonstrated ability to work to a high standard unsupervised
- The ability to prioritise and multitask as the situation demands
- Experience in Biochemistry is advantageous
- You will be registered as a Medical Laboratory Scientist with the New Zealand Medical Sciences Council, with a current Annual Practising Certificate (or eligibility to obtain)
