AFFCO serves both global and domestic markets and is supported by an operation that includes twelve processing plants situated throughout New Zealand. We are seeking a hands-on leader, capable of building a culture of performance in a complex and diverse manufacturing environment, to manage our multispecies export facility located in Wairoa.

As Plant Manager you will be responsible for the overall performance and optimisation of the plant, while striving to achieve excellence in health & safety, food safety, product quality, engagement & culture, and customer service.
- Commercial acumen with strong communicative skills
- Ability to integrate into varying and diverse environments
- Team leadership with worker engagement and development capabilities
- Resilience with logical, analytical and rational decision-making skills
- Understanding of the technical aspects of manufacturing processes, ideally in the meat industry or food production
- Operational experience managing people, productivity, yields, and waste
- Improvement focus, with the ability to analyse data to optimise outcomes
- The ability to liaise and interact with internal and external stakeholders at the highest level

**Qualifications**:
While a relevant management and/or meat processing qualification would be advantageous, if you are driven, passionate with the right attitude, and you’re ready to hit the ground running, we want to hear from you.
