This is a great opportunity for an experienced Nurse with strong leadership and advanced nursing skills to work closely with Charge Nurses, Ward Coordinators, and Nurse Unit Manager of the Medical wards at Auckland DHB in an environment that will prepare you for a key management/leadership role.
Our Medical wards based at Auckland City Hospital are unique and stimulating environments covering the full range of medical conditions. Our commitment is to the highest levels of clinical quality and providing the best standards of personalised care possible to our patients and their whānau.
In this role you will report to the Nurse Unit Manager of General Medicine and be accountable for ensuring the safe and effective delivery of clinical nursing care to patients _after hours (afternoon shifts on weekdays and morning and afternoon shifts on weekends)_ and their family/whanau. On a daily basis you will be demonstrating clinical and professional leadership and co-ordination of the ward in addition to leading and supporting nursing teams in all aspects of nursing care management within the ward.
