**Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role**

The Clinical Director & Clinical Lead - Regional Breast Screening covers Capital Coast, Hutt Valley and Wairarapa District.

The role provides leadership to ensure that radiology and other clinical services are delivered in accordance with agreed clinical standards of practice and within the agreed annual Breast Screen Central business plan and to contribute to the strategic direction of the Breast Screen Central and Community Services Division of Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley District. The Clinical Director works in partnership with the Operations Manager Breast Screen to ensure that medical practices, standards and procedures support the delivery of high quality care to patients. The Clinical Director is ultimately responsible for the overall clinical performance of the BSA programme in the detection and diagnosis of breast cancer in our contracted area.

Breast radiology services facilitate high quality radiological services to the clients and patients of Breast Screen Central (who provide screening for Breast Screen Aotearoa in the Wellington region) and the sub-regional District's symptomatic breast services. The team is comprised of Radiologists, Breast Surgeons, MITs, Breast Care Nurses, Clinical Assistants, Equity Advisors, Administrator Assistants, other Medical Specialists, RMOs and, Pathologists. Our role is to promote Breast Screening and identify early cancers which will save lives.

**Moū - About you**
- Vocationally registered in Radiology with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)
- FRANZCR or equivalent qualification and be able to register for vocational registration with the MCNZ
- Professionally active within the BSA programme
- Be able to provide consistently high standards of medical care and leadership direction
- Possess the relevant experience, skills and clinical and leadership practice
