**The Central Interceptor is a wastewater tunnel that will run between the Mangere Wastewater Treatment Plant and Grey Lynn. The 14.7-kilometre-long tunnel will run between 15 and 110 metres below ground. It will cross the Manukau Harbour at about 15 metres under the seabed. Along the route, it will connect to the existing wastewater network, which will divert flows and overflows into the tunnel.**

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be based on one of our construction sites, conducting quality control checks to ensure works and/or works in progress meet specification and requirements.

**What will you be doing?**

Key responsibilities include but may not be limited to the following
- Interpret and review drawings, plans, specifications and compare completed works to specifications and compliance
- Monitor and measure quality related performance with respect to quality audits, site inspections, and supplier sub-contractor audits and inspections
- Facilitate an effective working relationship around quality assurance and control between the Construction and Quality team
- Promote a positive quality culture across the project
- Develop, implement and promote efficient systems that ensure the successful delivery and project handover of all quality assurance documentation as per the operational and project requirements
- Responsible for management of QA/QC documents of the project zone
- Responsible for issuance and the closure of non-conformance and site instruction
- Work with the Quality Manager to identify methods to improve overall quality on-site
- Ensure that all inspection reports are accurate and that all relevant supplementary documents are current
- 2-4 years’ experience working as a Site Engineer on civil infrastructure projects preferred
- Degree qualification in engineering, construction management or equivalent
- Site administration experience, including the compiling of ITP’s and continual monitoring
- Proficient in MS Project and excel
- Positive and pro-active approach toward teamwork
- Sound planning and organisational skills
- Progressive thinking and robust project administration capabilities
- Communication that is clear, concise and easily understood both in written and verbal form
