The role*
Masabi is looking for a Bid Manager to join our Bids team in Australia, working across the business, writing and managing proposals mainly for public transit agencies and operators worldwide.
As a Bid Manager, you will develop a deep understanding of our products and, working closely with internal stakeholders, write, lead and review compelling bids.
This role is the glue between sales, product, engineering, services and finance, collating information from all these functions and proposing solutions to business problems combining that information into a coherent bid to ultimately win new business. This is both an internal and external-facing position.

Responsibilities*
- Own bid from qualification to contract award according to internal processes:
- Ensuring all required reviews and sign-offs are completed in time
- Facilitating key meetings, such as kick offs, bid/no bid and sign off meetings
- Manage/provide input into the value proposition, strategy and solution development, commercial considerations and risk management
- Work closely with the Business Development, Product, Engineering, Services and Financial teams in the preparation and delivery of technical and commercial proposals, including draft terms and conditions, pricing and milestone payments.
- Manage, review and edit inputs from multiple stakeholders. Document creation, writing and formatting; mainly Word, Powerpoint or Google Docs/Slides
- Responsible for document production and delivery
- Actively report bid progress, wins and losses to the appropriate internal teams, determining reasons for bid outcomes and making effective changes where necessary

What you will learn*
As part of the Bids team, you will be working collaboratively with Business Development, Product, Services, Engineering and Finance which would give you a unique perspective of how a fast-paced technology company operates.

About You*
- Have experience writing proposals, technical documentation or similar, in a fast-paced, technology/software environment.
- Have experience working on complex projects or products where gathering information from multiple stakeholders is critical to developing a competitive bid.
- Are a perceptive analytical thinker with a systematic approach to problem-solving.
- Have excellent attention to detail and ideally a good eye for design and layout.
- Have great interpersonal communication skills and ability to quickly build relationships and rapport with a variety of stakeholders.
- Have exceptional command of the English language and are able to produce reports, documentation and proposals to a high standard.
- Are used to working to tight deadlines, with a focus on quality.
- Have advanced Office skills including Word, Excel and Powerpoint or Google Suite equivalent offer.
- Preparing and reviewing the commercial terms of the bid, understanding costs and profitability.
- French or Italian would be considered advantageous (For European based applicants).
