Work as part of the Browse and Stores team to ensure supplies needed for the nutrition and management of the animal collections are collected, managed and delivered.

There may be future opportunities to go permanent if the situation arises in the future.

**Your potential responsibilities may include**:

- Safely cut and deliver high-quality browse to the various sections as directed, using chainsaws and pruning saws as appropriate
- Ensure browse is appropriately stored in a timely manner to maintain high quality and suitability for animal needs
- Ensure all browse is non-toxic, correctly identified and meets agreed Section requirements
- Assist with diet preparation, ensuring items are fit for purpose and accurately prepared
- Assist with the receipt, and safely store deliveries maintaining a clean and well-organised department
- Assist with maintaining inventory records ensuring accuracy
- Maintain delivery vehicle(s) in a clean and tidy condition and monitor and replenish fuel, oil and water as needed. Ensure the vehicle is equipped with necessary first aid or minor equipment required for certain conditions (e.g. torch, first aid kit, road cones, high vis vest).
- Maintain all browse collection equipment to a high standard. Record equipment checks and upkeep

**About You**:

- Physically fit
- Planning and organisational skills
- Good English communication skills
- An eye for detail
- Good familiarity with computers including MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to keep accurate, up-to-date records
- Demonstrated customer service focus and skills
- Works well in teams and unsupervised
- Current New Zealand driver’s license (manual) with a clean driving record
- Ability to correctly secure loads on a ute or truck for safe transport
- HT and fork hoist operator’s licence is an advantage but they will provide training if not
