We are looking for a highly motivated person to work as part of our Prevention and Partnership group. As a trusted advisor, the Procurement Specialist is responsible for ensuring our behaviour, practise, and systems are delivering a ‘relational approach to commissioning’ that will better contribute to intergenerational wellbeing. Initiatives such as Broader Outcomes, Progressive Procurement, the Economic Plan for a Productive, Sustainable and Inclusive Economy further necessitate new thinking and new ways of doing things from ACC.

Procurement Specialists are accountable for leading and innovating the commissioning of our health services to deliver value-based healthcare and influencing earlier planning of commissioning initiatives.

**What we are looking for from you to be successful in this role**:

- Relevant qualification in procurement (e.g., CIPS), supply chain or relevant industry experience.
- Experience working in a commercial environment and building business relationships.
- Experience in health is desirable.
- Leadership experience is desirable.
- Experienced in negotiations in a commercial business environment.
- Knowledge of contract law is desirable.
- Strong written and communication skills.
- Attention to detail is essential
- Ability to remain calm and positive under pressure.
