**Description**:
We have an excellent opportunity for a Key Account Manager to join a close-knit team.

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will execute the selling strategies and deliver commercial sales objectives, driving results through process improvement with a coordinated approach through engagement and field sales execution.

**Responsibilities will include**:
Deliver the company’s core range agenda by executing strategies across key customers and categories
Consistently build core range strength through lifting market distribution, improving range classification
Ensure the national sales teams are focused on key priorities and results are reviewed to maintain profitability
Develop joint business plans in key categories and explore business development opportunities with key retail groups
Plan and prepare category reviews and utilise category insights to influence outcomes
Monitor portfolio performance in each account and implement plans where necessary for improvements
Manage trading terms and sales spend so that investment is optimised
Keep current in the field to advance customer relationships and uncover sales opportunities
Seek new opportunities by exploring business, category or product gaps with existing customers
Commercialise new product or customer opportunities by demonstrating high levels of customer engagement and influencing sales teams to execute with precision
Understand various stakeholders needs and demonstrate creativity to deliver sales solutions
Deliver broader selling agenda through and understanding of various profit levers and actively use them

**Skills and Experiences**:
Skills and Experience

Relevant experience in account management preferably with food products
Commercially focused on and ability to understand various profit levels
Understand best practice key account and field sales disciplines
Customer-focused - tenacious about understanding consumer behaviour and passionate about delighting customers at every touch point they have.
You can influence effectively across cross-functional teams and work collaboratively to deliver results and “win together”.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide authoritative advice, influence and negotiate with a diversity of internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Developed planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and delegate tasks to achieve objectives and KPIs
Demonstrated record in delivering continuous improvement initiatives in a complex operating environment.
Ability to adapt positively to changing conditions or unexpected obstacles.
Ability to operate at a strategic level and be hands on
