Water Engineer

Our Hamilton team is seeking an experienced Process / Water Engineer to become an integral member of our team. Our office is continuing to grow and we are keen to expand our already well-established Water Team. Significant growth in the region, including a key strategic projects, means that our local projects are challenging in their own right, bringing in skilled experts from across the company to deliver local projects. However, we not only do work for our local clients, but support our wider GHD water service group, both in New Zealand and globally. This means we are well integrated in the wider GHD family, with plenty of opportunities to develop and grow.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Contribute to the delivery of treatment process projects(wastewater, water and industrial), including investigation, design, reporting, cost estimates, design and contract documentation and contract monitoring.
- Design management and lead the delivery of technical outputs under the guidance of Technical Leads as necessary
- Develop good business relationships with clients to ensure required project outcomes are met and client satisfaction is maintained at a high standard
- Preparation of high-quality reports, correspondence and other deliverables
- Actively links in with GHD Service Line / other Business Groups to find new and creative solutions to problems

**What you will bring to the team**:

- Knowledge and understanding of industry design standards and guidelines
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Agile Learner, actively learns through experimentation and experience and seeks ways to grow and to be challenged by new and novel conditions.
- Demonstrates trust by bringing the best of self, valuing others contributions, and engendering confidence and trust with others
- Keen to make a real contribution to the growth of our business and excellent client service
- Design software skills (i.e., Competent computer skills including Microsoft software suite and related technical software (e.g. BioWin, Plant 3D and BIM360)
- Ability to be proactive and take ownership of projects
- BE Civil or related qualification
