**He angitūtanga: The opportunity**
We are seeking a Gallery Assistant to assist with facilitating high-quality exhibitions, events, and programmes with a strong community focus.

A key component of this role is to provide outstanding customer service and to liaise with the public, community organisations, artists, and contractors. You will be expected to work with the team to coordinate the day-to-day operations of the gallery, support exhibition installations and openings, and deliver engaging public programmes.

This is a permanent, part time role - 20 hours per week usually worked across a Tuesday - Saturday but flexibility will be required around these days.

**He kōrero mōu: About you**
To be successful you will have a strong understanding of the visual arts and enjoy working in a gallery environment. You must have experience in exhibition and event delivery. The role also requires experience in a front line and coordination position in an arts or cultural facility. Your organisational and administrative skills will impress
