**About Child Health Services**:
Our service is committed to Māori health gain, and achieving equity of outcomes for Māori and Pacific tamariki. We have two level two special care baby units at the North Shore and Waitakere sites. This role will include a significant proportion of level two neonatal care.

Inpatient Paediatric admissions are in the 32 bed Rangatira ward at Waitakere hospital and in our modern busy emergency department providing care to tamariki in a separate children’s emergency area. We deliver outpatient clinics across hospital and community sites, including visiting clinics to the Rodney region. Involvement in Gateway clinics, Child Protection, Community Paediatrics, and regional initiatives can be discussed with the successful applicant.

Opportunities to explore and contribute to areas of special interest are supported. We have a popular registrar rotation within the Auckland regional training scheme.

We have a total of 1.6 FTE available, and are interested to have applicants interested in full or part time work. We can also support trainees at the conclusion of training to complete their FRACP requirements and transition into SMO role.
