Laboratories (CHL) is no exception We - re on the lookout for a NZ Registered
Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our Biochemistry Laboratory.
proactive Medical Laboratory Scientist to join us in this permanent part-time
opportunity. Our Core Biochemistry Department provides an
essential 24-hour service to not only the hospital but the wider community. Our
primary focus is to provide the best service possible for the care of the
patient.
This role requires you to work from 16:00 to 00:00,
3 shifts on, 6 shifts off.

**In this role, you will be responsible for**:

- Providing diagnostic and specialist testing to a high standard

according to protocol
- The effective and efficient use of laboratory information systems
to register patients, input data, and access results
- Carrying out troubleshooting of tests and equipment, complying with
service/laboratory methods
- The maintenance and development of your own professional
development
- Providing a high-quality service to clientsNgā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience

**Your skills will include**:

- Self-motivation and discipline to work independently and a

demonstrated ability to work to a high standard unsupervised
- The ability to prioritise and multitask as the situation demands
- Experience in Biochemistry is advantageous
- You will be registered as a Medical Laboratory Scientist with the
New Zealand Medical Sciences Council, with a current Annual Practising
Certificate (or eligibility to obtain)Communication
