Due to a growing forward workload, we are looking for a Surveyor to join our team, the work will predominantly in the Auckland region.
As an experienced Surveyor, you will take responsibility of all the geospatial components of a large/medium sized project. Scopes included will cover a range of disciplines from Earthworks, Drainage, Civil, Structures and Mechanical.
You will complete, to a high standard, a range of set outs, topographical surveys, drone photogrammetry, LiDAR scanning and as built surveys. Your responsibility will include the effective processing of collected data into reports, drawings and quantities while developing and maintaining strong business relationships with all our clients and customers.
It’s a given that we expect you to have the required academic or professional qualifications and relevant industry experience, however what we are also looking for are Surveyors with a difference, a passion for what you do, understanding of construction’s dynamic requirements and the ability to articulate the why Therefore, you will also need to have the following skills and abilities:
- Be proficient and experienced across a range of survey techniques including GPS, Drone Photogrammetry, Total Robotic Stations and LiDAR scanning. (Trimble preferred)
- Be proficient in using relevant software, including Trimble Business Center
- Understanding of GPS machine control and ability to create and manage designs on the equipped machinery
- Experience in maintaining as built records and the calculation of production quantities
- Experience in complex and/or large-scale projects
- High level of interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure
- Ability to develop solutions to problems
- Target and goal focused
