**The Project**:
Waka Kotahi - NZ Transport Agency, has formed the Mt. Messenger Alliance to deliver a new section of SH3, between Uruti and Ahititi to the north of New Plymouth in Taranaki. This highway is located entirely within the rohe of Ngati Tama. This new section of SH3 will bypass the existing approximately 7.4km steep, narrow and winding section of highway at Mt Messenger.

**The Role**:
The Engineering Manager will be responsible primarily for leading the interface and interaction between our design, and construction teams. This influential role will be a senior leader within the project and sit on the Alliance Management Team, reporting directly into the Alliance Project Director.
- Experience in managing design handover to construction teams, ensuring design information is complete and suitable for implementation.
- An in-depth understanding and knowledge of temporary works design
- an experience in reviewing design, staging, risk management and overall compliance of temporary works with the Alliances management plan.
- Experience in dealing with, and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders within the region, who may be affected by design changes.
- Demonstratable experience working in complex, multiple participant alliance contracting models.
- Strong people leadership skills, with demonstratable ability to lead a team of professionals at a senior level.
- Solid experience and understanding of quality management systems, and the ability to empower our quality team to work alongside our construction teams to ensure accurate quality management.
