- Professional development opportunities will be available to further develop your skills and health careerNgā mōhiohio e pā ana ki tēnei mahi (About this position)As an Allied Health Assistant (AHA) you will join our Physiotherapy team supporting our service to provide care to clients within the Nelson /Tasman community. You will work under the supervision of Physiotherapy Team Leader, working alongside Physiotherapists receiving delegated clinical tasks.

This will be a varied role, as you will be supporting a range of Physiotherapists in both Outpatients & Inpatients. Days and hours of work will be discussed with the preferred applicant. Our usual days of work are Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.00AM ' 4.30PM.
For the right applicant there may be the opportunity to work an additional 0.2 FTE (16 hours per fortnight).

You will be a practical, well organised and physically fit person with life experience and excellent written and oral communication skills. You'll have a friendly and welcoming manner with the ability to relate to a broad range of people of all ages. It will also be important that you can work under direction, be a cooperative team player who is supportive of your colleagues, and work in a flexible, positive manner displaying an appropriate level of initiative.
Experience within the health sector is preferred, but is not essential as full training will be provided.
You
are required to provide proof that you have completed your primary course of NZ
approved Covid-19 vaccinations.

**Qualifications**:
It's essential that you have Year 11 ' NCEA Level 1 English and Maths (or equivalent) and a current full driver's licence.

**The NZQA Level 3**: New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing ' Health Assistance Strand, if not previously obtained, is to be completed within 2 years of commencement, or to be commenced within your first year of employment.
