**Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role**
Join our newly restructured team and make your mark in the exciting and challenging field of Space Planning for our campuses and leased premises across our District.
Our focus is to provide strategic space and occupancy planning expertise in support of long-term supply and demand planning, real estate strategy, workplace design, space analysis and space efficiency within Te Whatu Ora - s campuses and real estate portfolio. This role is responsible for developing workplace solutions that are driven by our business, clinical and cultural objectives.
Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with our business partners to identify goals, create and implement space and occupancy strategies and plans that maximise the user experience and minimise resistance to the change. You will serve as the primary point of contact for the business group you represent, interface with client business executives and manage negotiations between business groups as needed.

The Property & Facilities team provides the overall asset and facilities management of buildings, plant & equipment, and clinical equipment, either owned or leased by Te Whatu Ora. The unit includes the following key areas; Support Services, Capital Projects, Technical Services, Clinical Engineering and Business Improvement and Capability Development.
**Moū - About you**
Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in space utilisation and occupancy planning.
- Knowledge of local and national Acts, codes and regulations that impact space utilisation and occupancy planning.
- General knowledge of the policies and processes for government owned property and the legal frameworks that enable them to operate.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across the organisation and to develop and present information in a professional manner.
- Preferably experienced with hospital buildings or large multidiscipline campus structures.
- Space Management ModuleCAD integrator, updating AutoCAD drawings, Publish, Sync Move Module CAD operator License, BIM and Revit.
- The ability to work with mínimal supervision. Commitment to integrity in meeting the Property and Facilities services requirements for Te Whatu Ora.
- Commitment to personal and organisation achievement and adherence to Code of Conduct principles for ethical behaviour in the workplace.
Essential Professional Qualifications / Accreditations / Registrations:
- A current motor vehicle driver - s licence.
- Tertiary qualifications in space design or related disciplines.
