We are seeking to appoint a Learning & Development Manager, internally referred to as an **Executive & Professional Development Manager** (EPD Manager) who will be responsible for ensuring customers across all EPD programmes are participating in market leading courses that meet their learning objectives and needs.
Working closely with external clients from industry, government and not-for-profits, the EPD Manager will work with the Business Development Manager to identify client needs, and then use this as a foundation to lead the design and delivery of suitable programmes and learning experiences. This key role in the UoA Business School will offer you the unique opportunity to be part of building up the capability of business leaders for a disrupted future in Aotearoa and globally.
- ** Strategy, Planning and Decision Making - **Contribute to identifying new industry needs and developing new programmes that emerge as disruption continues
- ** Operational Activities - **Design and deliver high value learning offerings for individual and organisational customers that consolidates EPD as a leading provider of premium learning opportunities in Aotearoa and beyond.
- ** Relationship Management** - Strong relationship building skills are essential. Our key stakeholders range from diverse industry and government senior leaders, Board directors, faculty members from across the University and relevant University central service divisions and external providers.
- ** Customer Service**:
- This role requires a fixation on our clients and their needs. This means close engagement with the client throughout the process and actively seeking feedback regarding service delivery from stakeholders, customers and facilitators.
- ** Continuous Improvement**:
- Work collaboratively with other teams to continuously improve our processes so we can get better and better.
This is a **permanent**, **fulltime** (37.5 hours per week) opportunity.
The salary range is $92,100 to $113,800 per annum

**He kōrero mōu | About you**
Experienced in online learning development, you will bring a boarder view beyond the technical side of instructional design, spearheading the customised design of bespoke programmes for your clients. Your understanding of the future of work technologies will drive decisions and discussions with clients about their learning requirements.
You will engage with the client directly and lean on your strong people skills to identify their needs and deliver appropriate solutions.
You’ll have a curiosity about the changing nature of learning in the workplace and a passion for learning personally. The EPD Manager will be results-oriented and adept in bringing innovative ideas to the role.
**Important Skills | Nga Pūkenga Motuhake**
- Experience designing learning and development activities for professional people; Excellent focus on identifying and delivering to customer needs.
- Be highly motivated, self-managing and familiar with project management. You will have strong planning and co-ordination skills and be able to juggle multiple priorities.
- An understanding of financial management, commercial awareness and wider management principles and techniques
- Have excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to engage positively and proactively with a variety of stakeholders, including Senior Executives.
- Cultural competency, a commitment to uplifting learning opportunities for Maori and Pacifica in Aotearoa.
- Competence at delivering presentations and facilitating groups
