We are looking for vibrant, highly motivated Nurse Specialists within our Occupational Health team.
- 1 x Permanent, Full-Time position
- 1 x Permanent, Part-Time (0.7) position.
The Occupational Health department of the Auckland District Health Board is a multi-disciplinary team which contributes to the health and well-being of staff across Te Toka Tumai. This role will contribute to the development of staff education resources and pathways.

**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**
We are seeking two Occupational Health Nurse Specialist with a minimum of Level 4 Practice (PDRP or equivalent) who will contribute to the effective management of the health of workers and workplaces, supporting Te Toka Tumai to meet their responsibilities to provide healthy workplaces, protect people from developing work related ill-health and provide health surveillance (risk-based) and intelligence.
The Occupational Health Nurse Specialist is an advanced nursing practice role and is responsible for providing specialist nursing care and the coordination of care for health care workers and has a key role in reducing risk to the health care working population. This role contributes to the support of staff from recruitment to retirement.

- Pre-Employment Health Screening
- Respiratory Protection
- Occupational health exposures
- Vaccination Programme,

What we are looking for?
- New Zealand nursing
- Postgraduate certificate / diploma in specialty nursing
- Knowledge of quality improvement processes and principles
- Ability to facilitate and manage change at a local level
- Knowledge and understanding of Treaty of Waitangi and implications in nursing practice
- Speciality knowledge and practice expertise
- Minimum level 4 practice
- Knowledge of nursing professional development issues
