Auckland Council is one of the largest local government authorities in the South Pacific and contributes to the management of approximately 3,000km of diverse coastline.
We have a permanent opportunity for a Senior Coastal Work Programme Lead, with applied experience in work programme management and coastal engineering.
Be part of a team of coastal engineers, coastal scientists, project managers and adaptation planners. We provide technical expertise to support the management of council's coastal assets including delivery of the capital renewals work programme.

With a relevant degree and demonstrated work experience, you will bring a proven track record of sound judgement, good decision making and a high level of political awareness.
You are highly organised, output focused, and confident in your ability to work closely with the project delivery team, while keeping the programme steering group, internal and external stakeholders and elected members well-informed and engaged.
**Ngā āhuatanga kei a mātou: What we offer**
In addition to our employee benefits, we will offer you the opportunity to broaden your knowledge and skills, and be part of a diverse organisation and a well-respected and influential team. Work flexibly from our office at the Auckland City centre and also work from home.
If you are highly motivated, detail orientated, and are keen to leave your legacy on Auckland’s coastline then we want to hear from you.
