This company is part of a private dealership and they are seeking a full-time Service Station Manager to manage 15 staff on two shifts - 6 a.m. - 2 p.m. and 2 p.m. - 9 p.m. (7 days, per week)

The committed staff of 15+ pride themselves on providing exceptional customer service. One of the notable reasons for the continuing success of this business has been the quality of staff and their commitment to providing genuine customer service.

The current Service Station Manager is retiring after 40 years of service therefore creating an unusual opportunity for someone to undertake the management responsibilities of an already very successful business.

It is envisaged the person undertaking this role will have prior achievements associated to building strong relationships so as to continue this business as the ‘number one site’ for locals, as well as visitors to the area. You will not only have an outgoing personality but you will possess a natural inclination to exceed customers’ expectations. This is a most important aspect of this role.

Other requirements for this role will be:

- Ability to oversee, mentor, motivate and train staff, as well as undertaking all work allied to the employment of staff including the updating and control of all daily rosters
- Capability to submit reports on a regular basis to senior management including financial reporting
- Ordering of stock, stock control and managing pricing, as well as complying with both supplier and other company processes, as well as policies and procedures and organising regular promotional activities
- Reconciling data on a regular basis and putting into place measures and control, as required
- Organising work schedules and staff rosters
- Reviewing and managing of security, particularly within the area of loss prevention, as well as associated work, including all stock control
- Overseeing daily food handling and temperature recording so as to comply with certification requirements and council inspections and regulations
- Ensuring all other areas of health and safety regulations are adhered to by both management and staff
- Managing WOF authority responsibilities
- To be available to support staff on the court so as to engage with customers and gain feedback
- Attendance at meetings with Napier City Council in regard to compliance
- High personal presentation and ensuring all staff members reporting to you do the same
- Full and clean New Zealand driver’s licence
