This role sits within All of Government Services Delivery (AoGSD), part of the Digital Services Branch who bring together the functions that deliver services to or for the public sector and is responsible for an All of Government Portfolio of digital products and ICT Services. The role of the Digital Service branch is to work with and through agencies to drive and deliver a customer-centered digital government.
We champion the use of Common Capabilities and centralized essential information products and services across agencies, as well as championing All of Government standards and guidelines.
The Back Office Digital Transformation Service (BoDTS) is one of these centralized services and has been created to reduce the cost, risk, complexity and time taken to deliver back-office systems, through standardised, high quality, all-of-government processes, tools and systems.
The Service provides agencies with a common set of standardised processes and will provide tools to support agencies as they modernise their back-office functions (e.g. HR, Finance, Procurement) making use of previously used collateral and design to streamline the process, to lower cost and risk, and to increase efficiency.
**He angitutanga | About the Role**
The Master Back-office Library (MBOL) is an information management system used to collect and store collateral from Agencies who have completed their back-office modernisation journey, including information from suppliers who have supported these projects.
As a passionate trainer and facilitator, you'll breathe life and energy into training delivery and documentation that support all users to easily and efficiently navigate the MBOL and its content.
Creating a positive user experience and interaction with the MBOL is critical to the overall success of the BoDTS, and the Master Back Office Library and Back-office Facilitator plays a key role in supporting agencies to identify and utilise the wealth of helpful information on offer via the MBOL and SaaS tools on offer.
It will also;
- Support user-friendly navigation of the MBOL and easy access to collateral
- Design and develop training materials and learning plans for MBOL users including identifying learning initiatives required to meet user demand
- Lead the development of new learning opportunities, which may include face to face learning/virtual learning or self-help tools
- Provide documentation support for workflows to enhance end-user experience and operational efficiency
- Provide support and training to all users of BoDTS including coordinating the logistics of scheduling training sessions and activities
- Ensure that participation in learning is accurately recorded and feedback gathered
- Facilitate workshops for train the trainer sessions
- Be the central point of contact for training documentation and delivery
- Establish and maintain strong collaborative working relationships across the BoDT Service teams and promote the benefits of the MBOL and BoDTS services to Agencies

As an experienced and enthusiastic facilitator, you enjoy delivering and producing top notch training collateral and supporting others on their learning journey. Able to adapt your style to suit your audience and keeping the user experience at the heart of your work, you'll ensure that the benefits of the MBOL are realised and agencies positively engaged with the the BoDTS.
To excel in this role you will have;
- Significant experience in a learning and development or training/facilitation environment
- In depth experience designing and delivering training across various platforms
- Proven experience documenting and translating new processes into a format easily understood by the end user
- Significant experience in training delivery or on the job coaching in a technical and/or operational environment involving complex systems
- Preferably experience with information management systems and information repositories e.g Content Management Systems or Data Management Systems
- Excellent facilitation skills
- Ideally experience advising on complex ICT programmes and supporting technical experts to achieve excellent user results
- The ability to design and deliver train the trainer learning experiences
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- The ability to quickly learn complex ICT concepts and information and communicate across all levels of an organisation and with key external stakeholders
