Ventia is currently seeking a High Voltage Switching Supervisor to look after the supervision and coordination of site activities, including supervision of switching operators, sub/contractors, and materials for our Auckland International Airport work. This role will provide you with a great deal of variety which will help maintain your motivation and interest and give you a wide range of learning experiences.

**About the Role**
This HV Switching Projects Supervisor role will suit someone who has solid and proven experience within New Zealand Electrical Distribution Network. You will provide on-site and off-site supervision of all team members ensuring works are completed in accordance with contract requirements while maintaining safety, quality, budget, and timeframes. Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

- The development and implementation of HV switching schedules for both planned work and unplanned outages to Vector standards
- Supervision and Support to Field Crew OH/UG/G&B
- Assist with Scoping and planning project works from an installation perspective and outage perspective
- Manage the coordination of both LV and HV switching of the Network that manages supply security and reduces the risk of loss of supply

**About You**
To be successful in this role, you must hold an Electrical Practicing Licence and one of the following (or its equivalent): NZCE, Electrical Trade Cert. (Electrician, Lineman, Jointer), or a tertiary qualification with an electrical power major. You will also have the below:

- Strong Switching experience on a distribution network
- Level 4 switching qualification an advantage but must be willing to achieve it
- Auckland network knowledge would be an advantage
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Able to show initiative and demonstrate a level of professionalism as expected of this role
- Able to work as part of a team in a very busy team environment
- Ability to foresee challenges, read situations and respond efficiently and effectively with a strong safety focus
- Ability to work shifts
- Must be able to follow strict rules and operating procedures and have strong attention to detail
- Full New Zealand Class 1 Driver's License
- Experience in supervising teams (larger team management is a bonus)
- Experience working for a large organisation will be advantageous
