**About us**
The Fletcher Building family is a community made up of people who use all their experience, skills and individuality to do amazing work. We are listed on both the NZX and ASX, and have some 30 businesses across New Zealand, Australia and the South Pacific. We are enriched by many different languages, customs and lifestyles.
The Strategy & Portfolio team acts as a centre of excellence within Group Finance & Performance to provide high quality insights, guidance and advice on key strategic initiatives across the Group.
The key focus areas of this team are corporate strategy development & planning (including shaping the Group’s strategic vision & portfolio management); evaluation & execution of Mergers and Acquisitions projects; input into the Capital Projects Committee process; support for divisional / business unit strategic planning & business development; customer & market insights; and special projects as directed by the Executive.
**About the role**
We have an exciting opportunity for an Analyst to join the Strategy & Portfolio team to support the effective execution of the various Strategy & Portfolio projects and activities. The focus is on providing robust research and analysis (both quantitative and qualitative) to support deep insights into the specific issues and opportunities confronting the business. The activities undertaken by the Strategy & Portfolio team can vary significantly over time as the priorities and focus of the organisation shifts. As a result, the role of all team members - including that of the Analyst - involves a broad scope and requires a broad skill base and high degree of flexibility and adaptability.
**About you**
Key to succeeding in this role will be your interpersonal skills, including your ability to build meaningful relationships across the business, often with key senior leaders. It therefore goes without saying that you’ll come equipped with strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills, as well as the intellectual curiosity and motivation to support further growth in the role.
This is a highly visible entry level role where you’ll get exposure across the group to a wide array of projects and key stakeholders, in a team of highly capable and engaged people.
