We are seeking a reliable and motivated **Shop Manager** to lead the day-to-day operations of our busy lawn mower retail and service shop based in **New Lynn, Auckland.** This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for customer service and hands-on retail management.

We are a well-established lawn mower and outdoor equipment store known for our quality products, servicing, and customer care. Our team is friendly, knowledgeable, and dedicated to helping customers keep their gardens in top shape.

Your duties will include but not limited to:
1) Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the retail shop, ensuring smooth workflow and customer satisfaction.

2) Supervise and support shop staff, including allocating tasks, providing training, and maintaining high service standards.

3) Manage stock levels and inventory, including ordering new products and organising displays to maximise sales.

4) Monitor sales targets and implement strategies to improve business performance.

5) Liaise with suppliers and service providers to maintain product availability and quality.

6) Ensure the shop premises, workshop, and display areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained.

7) Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and solution-focused manner.

8) Maintain records related to sales, servicing jobs, employee performance, and financial transactions.

9) Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.

10) Contribute to the overall growth and reputation of the business through effective leadership and customer engagement.

Qualification, Experience, and Attributes Required:
1) The applicant must have atleast 12 months of experience in the Retail sector preferably in Managerial role. Qualification is not mandatory, However having one is preferred. (Any relevant qualification
- minimum level-4)

2) Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a small team effectively.

3) Excellent communication and customer service skills.

4) Good organisational and problem-solving abilities.

5) Basic understanding of lawn mower or small engine equipment is an advantage (training can be provided).

6) Must be reliable, proactive, and have a hands-on attitude.

Pay and Benefit
- Full-time permanent employment.
- Minimum of 30 hours/week guaranteed.
- Hourly rate ranges between $32-$35
